Calella, Costa Maresme, Catalonia in Spain

Calella is in the Spanish region of Catalonia on the Costa Maresme, but better known as part of the Costa Brava. The town is fifty kilometres north of Barcelona and the nearest airport is Reus Airport.

The resort is near the Costa Brava which starts north of Calella at Malgrat de Mar. The Costa Maresme stretches from north of Barcelona, to southern Costa Brava.

60 kilometres from Barcelona's El Prat international airport and 45 kilometres south west of the airport at Gerona.

Calella thrives on tourism and the local authorities have done all they can to attract international tourists to the area. The beaches are expansive and a small army of workers make sure they stay clean and safe. The beach is the soul of Calella with entertainment, an esplanade, organised beach games and kids activities, watersports, dancing, fiesta, barbeques, and dancing.
